There are times in most of our lives when we experience distressing events and feelings which seem to have no end or solution in sight. Sometimes we know that our feelings are due to particular circumstances such as marital stress, relationship problems, bereavement or illness and we may have no idea what is making us feel the way we do. All we know is that our lives have become uncomfortable, difficult or even seemingly intolerable.
If our anxiety becomes too great we can be prompted into making hasty decisions, often to be regretted, or act on advice with which we may not be wholeheartedly in agreement and they have to live with the consequences.
Counselling can help people to clarify their thoughts and feelings so they can arrive at their own decisions, or even make major changes in their lives.
Sports Massage Therapy
Sports massage is a form of massage which is growing in popularity. it is used by athletes, both professional and amateur, as well as many non sporting individuals due to its many benefits.

Sports massage can prevent injury by improving the condition of the muscles. Muscle tightness, trigger points and scar tissue can be identified, which if left untreated may lead to injury. Sports massage can also be used in the treatment of specific injuries as well as to help correct muscle imbalance, overuse and postural issues. It is these issues which should be corrected in order to prevent future issues and improve the efficiency of our muscles and so enhance our performance.
Sports massage can also bo of benefit to individuals not directly involved in sports, to help relieve problems brought about by everyday activities ie. working at a desk, gardening or house work.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is the art and science of using verbal and non verbal communication patterns to assist another individual in entering an altered state of awareness often called " trance ".
Hypnotherapy, as the name implies, involves the therapeutic application of hypnosis. This involves the co-operation of the clients own unconscious mind in his/her own healing. The knowledge or solution is within the client and trance is seen promarily as a natural way of accessing this. This is not an artificial state created and controlled by the hypnotist.
Hypnotherapy can be applied to a wide range of problems and I can offer group therapies for the stress found in PMT and the menopause, as well as calming spiritual meditations.
Smoking & Addictions
Giving up an addiction is the hardest thing anyone can do, yes, there are props you can lean on, patches, alternative substances etc., but it can still be an uphill battle to overcome the physical effects of stopping your addiction.
Hypnosis can show you how to free yourself from the need of nicotine, chocolate, alcohol and remove obstacles that may have prevented you from stopping before. Reminding you of how you felt even before you started.

Group Therapies
Often stress, insomnia and confidence building are helped by a regular session of mediatation and relaxation. Groups allow a "top up" of whichever hypnotherapy session you originally had. The others in the group have no need to know why you are there. You will also be encouraged to practise yourself at home. Meditations for your spiritual welfare are just as important as your mental and physical.
Weight Loss
Dieting is well know for causing weight gain, so the harder you try the more weight you put on in the long term and yo yo dieting leads to low esteem, health problems and the bodies anability to shed any pounds at all.
Weight loss should not be a battle, we are not waging war against food.
We are bombarded by adverts for dieting products and pills all claiming to help us lose our excess weight. What those adverts dont say is that everyone has different blueprint for their size and shape.
